Photo View: (8768-14-50) VERY UNUSUAL SEMI-DELUXE MODEL 73, EARLY 3RD MODEL RIFLE

Orig 24" full octagon bbl, button mag, orig sights, exc bore. The case colored receiver retains probably 95% of the case colors on one side with 90% vividness; the other side retains approx 75% with 75% vividness, bbl retains 98% bright, heavy blue. Orig semi-deluxe, uncheckered wood is in near exc cond with a few light handling mars and dings but retains most the varnish; rifle style buttplate. Exc throughout. Stated under 'REMARKS' in the Factory records is: 1", which would have to be the fact that the forearm is an inch shorter than standard for a 24" bbl. This forearm would have normally been at about a 20" gun; I think it was ordered that way to accomodate a certain number of shells. There's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that it's 100% orig. Exc inside and out, very unique gun.
