Photo View: (JM1113-14-429) FACTORY ENGRAVED #3 BALLARD SINGLE SHOT DELUXE TARGET RIFLE

This gun was originally a 22 Caliber Rimfire and has been converted (possibly by the factory) to a 25-25 Stevens Centerfire by reboring and rechambering the orig bbl; very professionally done. 28" full oct bbl retains half the orig blue brown patina coloration, receiver has turned mostly a gun metal gray and is very nicely engraved in the typical scroll with a panel scene on both sides, mint bore, orig sights include folding tang rear. Orig very fancy deluxe grade wood is in VG cond with nearly all the orig varnish remaining, a small chip (1/8" x 1/2") out of the front of the forearm; rifle style buttplate. This gun is pictured on page 122 of the Ballard book by John Dutcher. Very attractive little gun.
