Patented by D.B. Wesson before they incorporated and became Smith & Wesson. Overall gun is in excellent+ condition with vivid case colors in the protected areas on the sideplates, quite elaborately engraved by Gustavas Young. Original wood is in VG+ condition with nice grained burl, sharp checkering, Damascus pattern on the barrels retains probably 50% colors, mechanical condition is excellent. All original and complete with early #8 serial number.
