(EL-MR513) ENGRAVED STEVENS DELUXE RIFLE WITH THE 44-1/2 ACTION
Caliber marking is 32-35 Caliber. A very neat, strange configuration gun with a half round, half octagon 26" bbl. What is somewhat strange about the bbl is that it appears like the front half has been slightly turned down for target use and there is a 'Boss' where the front sight dovetail is. Also, it appears like the front half was nickel plated-factory done or done otherwise is unknown; makes for a very neat rifle. Quite a few case colors still remain on the frame-the rest are turning to an antique brownish gray. Checkering is fine line and superb. Equipped with cheekpiece and Swiss buttplate, flipping globe type front sight, Lyman tang rear sight with large eyepiece and a small flip-up Lyman rear bbl sight; bright shiny bore in VG cond. Very interesting Stevens rifle. e

Nice little slide action Stevens that is somewhat collectible. This specimen retains an awful lot of bbl blue-probably at 90-95%, the receiver has been cleaned; nice, clean, smooth metal. Wood is in VG cond, nice buttplate, no chips or cracks. The slide handle is about as good as I've seen on a miserable loader. Nice little gun. e

Heavy round bbl with VG bore, wood is also VG and appears to have a slight repair by the lower tang. Replacement front sight, holes drilled for scope and a rather rare King rear tang sight. This gun is in VG cond and be a great shooter. e

(MR417-14-510) STEVENS SURE SHOT
Very rare markings on this Stevens: Engraved on bbl is 'W.R.A. Co. 2-2-1901' which indicates it was sent to Winchester for ammo testing. Bbl has about 95% blue with a VG bore. Almost all nickel remains on frame with only slight wear on sharp edges. Buttstock is overall VG but has had a wrist repair which could have been done better-looks of the period; would be an easy fix if desired. Very interesting letter comes with this 22 Caliber. 26” part round, part octagon barrel retains 80% darkening lustrous blue, the balance has turned a dark plum blue patina coloration, 85% original nickel remaining on the receiver, 95% nickel on Swiss style buttplate, tunnel style target front, stationary rear and vernier tang sights. Original 26” full octagon barrel; globe front and folding tang rear sights. Barrel has been fitted for scope blocks. Original wood is in excellent+ condition with most all original high gloss lacquer finish remaining-just a few age cracks on the side. Swiss style buttplate retains most all the silver; just traces of brass starting to show. Overall gun is in fine condition with 95% original toning blue, 75% original case colors; receiver is very delicately engraved in a scroll style with 2 extra holes in the side for a receiver sight of some sort.
