This 06 is a single caliber which is 22 Short. Early gun in the 105,XXX serial range. Alot of orig receiver blue remains as does quite a bit of bbl blue which is somewhat thinning in spots. Wood is in very nice cond with all four corners good, stock has been refinished, nice smooth action. Somewhat scarce to find an 06 in a single caliber. e

Overall gun is exc as well with nearly all blue remaining at 95%+ with some very minor toning on the high points. Nice, clean, sharp, all orig little gun except where noted. (EL-8818) ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 2ND MODEL IN 22 WRF
The case colored receiver has pretty much turned to an antique grayish coloration, nice smooth metal; bbl also has nice smooth metal, sharp octagons, good bbl address and appears to have had cold blue applied years ago-has now turned a pleasing blue gray. Stock is quite good; nice fitting with no cracks. Forearm also in nice cond with no losses and one very light crack at one of the screws. Bbl has been relined and is in exc cond, equipped with a Marbles tang sight and a larger gold bead front sight, nice action. Hard to find 1890's in an antique serial range. Very fairly priced! e

Matching numbers in the 649,XXX serial range, smooth metal, mostly a brownish coloration on the receiver, quite a little blue on the octagon bbl, some pin prick areas of light rusting, nice bbl markings, good wood and a fair to good bore. If you need to complete your 1890 collection with a long rifle, this is the gun for you at a reasonable price. e

Metal is relatively nice with a blue brown patina coloration, bbl has some wear to the octagons but retains most of the blue which is turning. Wood is in relatively good cond as well but it does have the normal crack coming off the upper tang and is slightly loose in the wrist area; forearm is in good to VG cond. Dark bore that may clean up?? Decent entry level 1890. e
