MHG692 EXCEPTIONALLY RARE SLOCUM REVOLVER
Item # MHG692
Serial number 1 that is stamped in several places on this revolver. It is either the first one made or it was an experimental or prototype revolver. It is 6-shot 32 RF. Produced by or in conjunction with the Brooklyn Arms Co. Very short production run. As short as a year possibly in 1863, possibly 1864. This of course was during the height of the Civil War and most of the materials and labor was going towards the war effort. This is a small pocket pistol variety with 3" bbl and brass frame with scroll engraving. Bbl is pretty much a silver color with age spots. Frame is very nice condition with nice smooth metal. Action indexes and works nicely. Grips are all there with a few scratches but no losses of wood. Unique looking gun with the 6-shot cylinder. Cylinder looks over sized. This would have been a quite formidable carry gun in the Civil War days. Never have seen one before and I probably never will. If you are looking for rare this would be a great choice.

21" overall with a 13-1/2" bbl. Bore is approximately .65 cal. Gun features all brass fixtures such as trigger guard. Inlaid motifs are very decoratively engraved. The woodwork on the gun is superb with a considerable amount of elaborate carving. There is a minter's name that I can't quite make out on the lock plate. A very beautiful well made decorative gun believed to be an early Spanish made. Overall gun is a plum-brown coloration with excellent wood. All complete and original unaltered. Very interesting piece.

Hammerless single shot target pistol in 22 long and short. Bbl is 11". Quite unique. Towards the frame is octagon bbl that is reduced to a band and a section of round bbl, another band and oct towards the muzzle. It took a lot of machining to do this. Also a very unique rear sight on the bbl. The front sight is the standard center dovetail post style. Frame is case colored with some color remaining and the balance turning an antique grey/brown. Light scroll engraved borderlines around the frame. This is a spur style trigger which also acts as the opening latch. Long target style pistol grip with very fine line checkering. MHG698 SPANISH PERCUSSION PISTOL
Item # MHG698
These are sometimes referred to as a Coat or Belt pistol. The 6" bbl is a very large caliber being somewhere between a 66 and a 69 cal. It is a smooth bore. If someone pulled this out of their coat and pointed it at you and you were staring down that huge hole it would not be a pleasant experience! On the bbl is a bunch of Spanish writing that I can't figure out. One thing I can read is the date 1852. As with most black powder guns of the day, there is quite a bit of ornate work on this gun. It has a half oct bbl with the "wedding band" transition to round. Also there is a band at the muzzle. Gun is in good overall cond being a grey/silver color. Nice smooth metal. Action works. Wood is also nice although there is a few cracks but everything is solid. Missing ram rod.
Antique $ 975.
MHG686A BRITISH FLOBERT STYLE TARGET PISTOL
Item # MHG686A
Quite a few companies made what is loosely referred to as the Flobert style pistol. This one has the crown over V being London proofed. Cal 22 with 10" bbl. The inside of the bbl is VG condition and the outside is immaculate. Very deep blue which is nearly all there. Just light wear at the muzzle. A couple of very light scratches. The British bluing was much better than Belgian bluing and this one exhibits it well. Another interesting feature is dual thumb ejector rings to remove the cartridge. A deep carved engraving pattern in the wood. Nickel hardware which is also engraved and in good condition. Something old, something different and quite reasonable.
Antique $ 900.
MR1054 SAW HANDLE TARGET PISTOL
Item # MR1054
This is a New England style underhammer percussion target pistol. We are noted for our fine firearms and also items that you don't see or find everywhere. This is one of those items! This falls under "a bit strange" category. Cal 32 with octagon to round bbl. At the muzzle is a cool piece of wood that fits over the muzzle and a ram rod that goes inside. It is like a muzzle protector of sorts. The bbl has an early style hooded target sight. Bbl is a pleasing antique brown. There is a dovetail with a blank at the end of the octagon portion. The rear sight is a very long peep sight with medium aperture adjustable for both height and windage. Saw handle is a piece of art. Fits well and in VG condition. If you feel you can't hit anything as a pistol, you can add the brass screw on skeleton buttstock. This would be an excellent conversation piece!!
Antique $ 1,395.

This is for the small 5.5mm rim fire. 9" oct bbl with engraving towards the chamber and also at the muzzle. Deep relief engraving on the stock towards the front and a typical French pistol grip with a very ornate pistol grip cap. Likewise the trigger guard is European style engraving also. Furniture is nickel plated with nearly all nickel remaining. Some light wear. The bbl has had a refinish years ago. Well done and not overbuffed. Case has the marking on the lid. Blue felt lining. Pistol fits perfectly and has probably been with it since it was built. This type of gun displays beautifully.

MHG659 EXTRAORDINARY ORNATE TURKISH FLINTLOCK PISTOL
Item # MHG659
Gold, silver and high quality workmanship describe this pistol. This is what looks like engraving but is instead very intricate metal work done on the whole gun. How this was accomplished? It certainly came from the hands of some Master Craftsman of the period. Cal is about 60. Overall condition is VG. Bbl is silvery and has likely been cleaned. It does show the Damascus pattern on the bbl. The hammer and flintlock springs are very heavy from years of not using them. I doubt that this gun was used very much at all if any. It looks like it may have been some sort of a presentation gun for someone very important. Please take a close look at the photos. The intricate metal work is simply amazing!
Antique $ 8,500.
MHG656 RARE FOREHAND & WADSWORTH REVOLVER
Item # MHG656
This would be the old model army single action revolver. This one has the very rare and desirable California marking as an added bonus. Serial number is just over a thousand. Cal 44 Russian. 7-1/2" bbl with blue finish. Forehand & Wadsworth revolvers were noted for being extremely fine quality. Not a lot of these were made. Only about 1,000. This particular gun is a very good example with very nice aging blue remaining and some antique brown color. Nice blue in protected areas. Very good markings on the top rib. The California marking is a standing bear above the trigger guard. This is rarely seen. There are a couple of different theories on the bear. One being that it was for California Militia of some sort and the other theory being that it was a gun distributor in California. A rare gun to start with and that marking makes it even more rare. A good collectable piece.
Antique $ 7,500.

Item # MHG621-26-751
A Tipping & Lawden model 1A 4-shot pepper box. 22 cal with a rotating firing pin that fires the 4 shots. Extremely high condition gun with nearly all orig blue remaining on the bbls. Nickel plated frame with very little wear. Floral hard rubber grips are in good condition but have pulled away from the frame a bit. May have been in hot sun or something? Still good looking on the gun. A nice case with blue velvet with key and rod.
Antique $ 4,500.
MHG625 TIPPING & LAWDEN ENGRAVED PEPPERBOX
Item # MHG625-26-752
This a factory engraved model 1A. The 1A is a smaller framed gun in 22 cal. It has the same 4-bbl cluster configuration as the larger ones. The bbl cluster is nickel and most nickel remains. Some light wear and a couple of flakes. Hammer spring is a bit weak but does work. The Gutta Percha grips are in VG+ cond. These are very scarce early pistols.
Antique $ 3,975.

The marking on the top of the bbl is "National Arms Co Brooklyn N.Y.". This is a single shot No. 2 derringer. These were only made for about 5 years right after the Civil War. Cal 41 RF 2-1/2" bbl. This is the twist to load which is reminiscent of the Colt derringer. The reason is because Colt purchased National Arms and continued building on their patents. Could be called a pre-Colt derringer. Very rare and a good collectible gun.

MHG640 VERY RARE MASS. ARMS COMPANY WESSON AND LEAVITT REVOLVER
Item # MHG640
This is called the belt revolver. Very rare since it was only made for a couple of years (1850-1851). Cal 31 with a 6-shot percussion cylinder. Very nice cond with most finish remaining. These had quite ornate engraving on both the lock and the cylinder. Action is crisp and clean. Very good markings. Grips are also in VG overall cond. Along with being scarce it is also very high condition. Great little gun! Comes with a contemporary case.

MHG579 MOVIE PROP GUN AND HOLSTER
Item # MHG579
You probably saw this gun in a Western when you were a kid . Movie prop gun is built to look like a Colt single action and of course is not able to fire. It is made as a non gun. Not all the good guys or bad guys had real guns in the Westerns. This Colt is a nondescript grey color. Comes in a very nice black holster set up "Cowboy style". Several loops with cartridges in it. Of all things, the cartridges are 38 auto which had nothing to do with Cowboys. Guess they looked good in the holster. The holster itself is rather ragged along the edges and has seen some wear. Size stamping is 34. An interesting outfit.
No License Required $ 375.
MHG512 WHITNEY PERCUSSION REVOLVER
Item # MHG512
36 cal 6-round revolver with 7-1/2" bbl. 2-line bbl marking " E Whitney N. Haven". The patina is rather strange. It has been cleaned and is a silver grey/color. The strange part is that it looks like it may have been engraved with the engraving being lost to wear and cleaning. Not sure? The gun does cock and index. The right hand grip is broken with half missing. The other side is quite nice. A lot of hand guns in the old days were not Colts. There were other quality makers out there and Whitney was one of them.
Antique $ 1,175.
